Oatmeal M&M's Fall Cookies

Delicious, soft oatmeal cookies with fall colored M&Ms.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Mott's applesauce
  • 3 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse Kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 bag fall-colored M&M's

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar on low speed until combined.
  3. Add eggs and applesauce and mix until well-blended (about 2-3 minutes.)
  4. Mix in oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Add M&M's and mix.
  6. Refrigerate dough for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Drop heaping, rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake cookies until golden and just set, about 13-15 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven and let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes.
  11. Move cookies to a wire rack and let cool completely.
