From thinning enamel to drinking coffee or wine, a variety of things can turn your teeth yellow. Luckily, at-home teeth whitening products like Boka offer convenient and effective solutions for how to whiten teeth without peroxide. As a BOKA affiliate, I had the opportunity to try three of BOKA’s peroxide-free teeth whitening products and share my reviews. I’ll share my personal experience using each product, analyze their features and benefits, and help you decide which one might be the perfect fit for your whitening goals.

BOKA offers several teeth whitening products that are all fluoride-free and peroxide-free. The BOKA Whitening Collection consists of:

I’ve been using BOKA toothpaste for over a year and I’ve been so happy with the results. So, when I learned they had several teeth whitening products with no hydrogen peroxide, I was eager to give them a try. In today’s BOKA review, I’ll be sharing my experience with their whitening strips, whitening pen, and whitening kit. The BOKA Difference: What Sets BOKA’s Teeth Whitening Products Apart
While there are a lot of teeth-whitening products on the market, there are several things that make BOKA stand out from the rest.
A Focus on Sensitivity
One of the first things that caught my eye about BOKA’s whitening products was their emphasis on being gentle and suitable for sensitive teeth. Although I don’t consider myself to have sensitive gums, I know a lot of people are sensitive to ingredients like peroxide. Not only does the peroxide-free formula help keep the treatment pain-free, but the ingredients they do use help promote healthy tooth enamel (which can also help reduce tooth sensitivity!)
Innovative, Peroxide Free Ingredients
Instead of using hydrogen peroxide, BOKA has opted for some alternate, enamel-safe ingredients to use in their teeth whitening products – Phthalimido-Peroxy-Caproic Acid (PAP) and nano-Hydroxyapatite (n-Ha). PAP gently whitens teeth by targeting and eliminating stain-causing compounds on the surface of your teeth, while n-Ha remineralizes, strengthens, and protects tooth enamel.
Now that we’ve covered some of the special features of the BOKA teeth whitening collection, it’s time to share my hands-on BOKA review.
How to Whiten Teeth Without Peroxide Using BOKA – Product Reviews
BOKA offers teeth whitening products in different forms, so you can choose the one that best fits your oral care routine and lifestyle. Here’s a breakdown of my experience with BOKA whitening products.
BOKA Rapid Radiance Teeth Whitening Kit
The BOKA Rapid Radiance Teeth Whitening Kit is a light-based teeth-whitening device. The kit includes a wireless LED mouthpiece, 3 whitening applicators (20 uses each), and a charging device. To whiten your teeth, you apply the whitening gel to the mouthpiece, bite down on the mouthpiece, activate the light, and wait for 15 minutes. The built-in timer sounds automatically when the treatment time is complete. Boka claims the kit can whiten teeth up to 10 shades in just a week with daily treatment.
BOKA Rapid Radiance Teeth Whitening Kit Review
The Rapid Radiance Teeth Whitening Kit is packaged in a durable box. The mouthpiece and charging cord fit into a molded foam tray which you remove to reveal the whitening applicators stored underneath. It all looks very high-tech and futuristic. Note that you will need a USB charger to plug the cord into. You can use your phone charger or even your laptop or computer as well.
This was my first time using an LED teeth whitening device, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use. The first step is to use the whitening applicators to apply the whitening gel to your teeth. Then, bite on the mouthpiece, and turn it on.
The mouthpiece will shine a blue light on your teeth for 15 minutes. When the treatment time is up, it will beep at you to let you know that you are done. The built-in timer is a convenient feature so you don’t need to keep checking the time.
After the teeth whitening treatment is done, you can rinse your mouth or brush. The gel does a great job of sticking to your teeth, so I preferred brushing post-treatment.
Boka Rapid Radiance Teeth Whitening Results
I used the Boka Rapid Radiance Teeth Whitening Kit for 2 weeks, and I’m very pleased with the results. Here are the before and after pictures.
My teeth were noticeably whiter – I’d estimate about 5-6 shades brighter. What impressed me most was that there wasn’t any tooth or gum sensitivity that can often come with hydrogen peroxide-based tooth whitening treatments. The Rapid Radiance Teeth Whitening Kit is a great solution for how to whiten your teeth without peroxide.

BOKA Sensitive Smiler Whitening Strips
BOKA’s teeth whitening strips are designed for people with sensitive teeth or those looking for teeth whitening strips that don’t have hydrogen peroxide. Instead, of peroxide, these pre-measured strips contain Nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HA) and PAP to help whiten and remineralize your teeth while minimizing discomfort. The BOKA teeth whitening strips are also non-toxic and made with no harsh bleaches, no SLS, no parabens, and no alcohol.
There are 16 treatments per box; each pack contains 1 strip for the upper and 1 strip for the lower teeth.
BOKA Sensitive Smile Whitening Strips Review
I found the Boka teeth whitening strips very easy to use. While you don’t have to, I did brush my teeth before applying the strips. Each pack in the box has application strips for the upper and lower teeth. Simply peel it from the plastic, align the straight edge with your gumline, then press the strip over the front of your teeth.
The treatment lasts for 30 minutes, during which it was easy to talk and have a conversation with people. You should not eat or drink while using these, though.
After the 30 minutes is up, simply peel the strips off your teeth and throw them away. You can rinse or brush after. The strips do leave a bit of gel on your teeth, so I always ended up brushing afterwards.
While 30 minutes is longer than the 15-minute treatment time of the Rapid Radiance Whitening Kit, it was still a manageable amount of time. The fact that I could still have conversations was nice as well. The strips are clear, so if you need to answer the door or run errands, they won’t be easily noticed.
With other whitening strips, I’ve sometimes felt a weird tingling along the gumline and between the teeth. With BOKA’s Sensitive Smile Whitening Strips, I experience zero tingling or sensitivity, even though I used them on consecutive days for over a week.
I tested these strips after completing 2 weeks with the Rapid Radiance Whitening Kit. and I think both delivered equally good results. I really liked how quickly I could apply the strips compared to having to use a pen to apply gel to every tooth. Once put in place, the strips adhered to my teeth without slipping over time.

Express Glow Whitening Pen
The Express Glow Whitening Pen is BOKA’s solution for on-the-go touch-ups or quick whitening treatments. The pen dispenses a thin layer of stain-fighting whitening gel that you brush onto your teeth. Unlike some other brands’ whitening pens that use hydrogen peroxide, BOKA’s whitening pen is powered by their pain-free, peroxide-free formula featuring PAP and n-Ha. There are up to 36 uses per whitening pen.
To use the Express Glow Whitening Pen, you click the back/bottom of the pen until it starts to dispense the gel inside the brush bristles on the other end. Then brush the whitening gel onto each tooth. After applying to your teeth, hold a big smile for 30-60 seconds to help the gel set on your teeth
Leave the gel on for 10-15 minutes for a full teeth whitening treatment or just a couple of minutes for touch-ups. For best results avoid eating or drinking for 30 minutes after whitening.
Express Glow Whitening Pen Review
The Express Glow Pen is a great solution for people who travel or have busy schedules and want to brighten their smiles while away from home. The pen is compact and easily slips into a purse or pocket.
It did take me a few applications to get used to applying the whitening gel onto my teeth. You have to alternate between clicking the back and applying the gel. I got the hang of it pretty quickly, but it’s more involved than the whitening strips.
I tested the whitening pen last out of the three products, so I’m not too surprised that the results weren’t as dramatic as the other two products. That being said it was effective at brightening up my smile after meals and it helped maintain the results I’d achieved with the other products.
