A star is a classic and symbolic part of Christmas décor. For many it has religious significance—the Star of Bethlehem guiding in the night—and others just love stars in their decorating style, and it can represent peace and hope and light in the holiday season.
I love having a single star hanging on my porch. The Prismatic Iridescent Christmas Explosion Star is reminiscent of a Moravian Star in shape and size—it has fewer rays—but unlike a traditional Moravian star which has one center light, the Prismatic Iridescent Christmas Explosion Star has 100 LED fairy-style mini lights in every ray, and the iridescence gives an amazing display of light.
The star is lightweight and easy to hang with its included hook, but you could also set it on a top shelf or table or deeper mantle. It takes 3 AA batteries and the battery case has an easy to use on/off button.
From a street view, it appears more bright white, but up close, it has a beautiful iridescent glow of colors which seems to change from purple to blue to other colors of the rainbow from different angles. This makes it perfect for many decorating styles. It could be displayed alone or in a grouping of other similarly colored stars and shapes.
While it’s perfect for the holiday decorating season, it would be great for an all-year display—many people in small towns where the stars are prevalent leave their stars up perennially—or it would be great in a dorm, teen, or child’s room.
