While I recently had the opportunity to replace one of my old handbag with a new stylish and practical handbag, I thought it would be nice to also have a bag that POPPED and had some fun to it. I haven’t shopped for handbags at Guess, or even owned a bag from Guess before, so I was interested to see the options that they had. Before heading into the store, I decided to do a little bit of pre-shopping.
First I went to coupons and deals website www.saveandmakemoola.com to see if there were any hot discounts or sales available. Then I went directly to Guess.com to browse their handbag line. The Guess CONFESSION line has lots of different styles with bright, vibrant colors. I liked the options that I saw and could only hope that when I went to the Guess store, they would have them available.
If I’m heading to the mall, I like going either early in the morning or later at night to avoid the crowds. Since I didn’t wake up early enough for it to be called “early” anymore, my friend and I hopped into the car later that night to head down to the local mall. As we approached the store, we noticed a few handbags displayed in the windows, but I couldn’t tell if they were from the Guess CONFESSION line. As we walked in, my eyes were immediately drawn to a colorful display on the left of the store – bright pink, blue, red and green handbags.
Like a moth to flame, I approached the table and stood there for more than few seconds as I weighed my options. The table had a few different handbags in different colors and several smaller organizers. Most of them were the colored CONFESSION bags. I only saw the black and white colors on a shelf on the wall (and there were only two small clutches.) There were other handbags displayed along the walls as well, but their neutral colors didn’t catch the eye quite like the CONFESSION handbags.
I was immediately drawn to the blue CONFESSION Carryall bag – it is a great color, has a nice size, the perfect shoulder strap length, and has 4 pockets on the interior (1 zippered, 3 open.) The interior of these bags is a colorful floral pattern. They have a snakeskin faux-leather that creates texture but isn’t over-the-top and a couple of small gold embellishments – one that says “Guess” and another that is a design. While I liked the blue, I already have a blue purse. I momentarily weighed the green flap satchel but ultimately decided on the red carryall.
We went to the register to check out, and after paying ($88+tax+a nickel for the paper bag) we left the store with a brand new, red Guess CONFESSION carryall bag. 🙂 To view more pictures of my shopping trip at Guess, please visit our Guess CONFESSION photo album.
