We’ve all heard stories about schools having to cut programs due to lack of funds. Fortunately, there are ways to earn extra cash for your local schools through the General Mills Box Tops for Education program. Typically, you need to cut out the little Box Top coupon on the box and then give them to your school. However, a recent partnership with Jingit has made earning rewards for your school even easier.
Jingit is a rewards program that allows you to earn cash by watching mini “commercials” on their website or by interacting with brands in-store via the Jingit app. I’ve been a member for a few months and love that you’re actually getting paid to watch a commercial and answer a few short questions.
When you’re out running errands, you can install and use the Jingit app to find engagement opportunities near you. Simply check-in to the app and it’ll display a list of opportunities for you to earn money, as well as how much money you’ll make for checking in.
I used the Jingit app on a recent shopping trip to Walmart. When you first check-in to Jingit from the Walmart website or through the app, you will be prompted to select a school to receive the Box Tops for Education rewards. I selected Rossiter Elementary School, the same school we supported with our Champions for Kids effort.
Once I checked in, I saw several opportunities to earn Jingit rewards at Walmart. I head inside and started my shopping, picking up the items that were on my shopping list (as well as a few that weren’t…hello Movie Theatre Popcorn!) When I came across one of the qualifying items, I browsed to the engagement opportunity, and began the check in process.
First, you’ll need to scan the barcode. Then you’ll be shown a brief survey (as in just one question) that asks you about another product you might be interested in. Answer the question, finish the check in, and cha-ching! You’ve earned money both for yourself as well as earned Box Tops for the school you are supporting. It really is that easy.
Not heading out to the store today? You can still earn extra Box Tops for Education by visiting Walmart.com and participating in the Jingit opportunities there. Even after the promotion ends, you can still use Jingit to earn a little extra cash for you or your family. Some of the opportunities payout quite well for just a quick scan and question.
Hurry! The Jingit rewards program to earn Box Tops for Education ends this Saturday, September 15th, so make sure you download the app and earn those extra Box Tops for your school today (or tomorrow…or at least by Saturday!)
