Whether you want to start blogging or are a business looking to grow, you must have a website. As a graphic designer, I’m comfortable coding building websites and using Content Management Systems (CMSs) like WordPress. For someone who isn’t technical or someone who just wants to get a website up quickly, then coding and plug-in libraries aren’t the answer. Fortunately GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder makes it easy for anyone to design and create a website in minutes so you can start building your online presence.

GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder is an easy-to-use service from GoDaddy that lets you choose and customize a design for a new website. The monthly price includes website hosting and 24/7 support. GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder offers 4 monthly plans – Personal, Business, Business Plus, and Online Store. The Personal plan is great for starting a new blog without having to learn about hosting or installation. The business plans support businesses that are just starting out to businesses that want to sell products online. Monthly prices range from $5.99-$29.99/month. Now through 4/10 GoDaddy is offering a Free Trial where you can try any GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder Plan free for one month.
I signed up for the GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder Business Free Trial to create a website for a new business. Starting off was easy. Just plug-in the name of your business and then select the type of business you run. GoDaddy provides a variety of categories to choose from. Each category offers several pre-made website designs suited to your type of business. From the list, you can preview each design to see how it would look on Desktop and Mobile devices. All of the GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder designs are responsive mobile designs.
Once you select the design you want to customize, you are taken to a layout editor that allows you to change the different sections of the website. You can easily make changes just by clicking on the section you want to edit. In addition, there are 6 pre-made themes you can select from that control the design’s colors and fonts. Once a theme is selected, you can tweak both the font-type and design color. GoDaddy also gives access to a library of stock photos you can use for your website. You’re able to upload your own images from your computer as well. Users can also add new pages to their site.
Users can quickly add new sections to their website using GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder. A green + arrow displays between different sections of the website. Click the + will display a list of pre-made modules you can select from to add to your site. There are a lot of options here including social media follows, newsletter sign-ups, testimonials, and calendars. Each section allows you to customize it for display, layout and content. I was really surprised at how easy it was to add, edit and move sections for the site. They’ve really made the interface easy to use, which is great for people who don’t know how or don’t want to code or use HTML.
You can preview the design (both desktop and mobile versions) as you make changes along the way. Once you have a design you like, just hit the “Publish” button. You can choose the apply the site design to one of the domain names you already own with GoDaddy, or use it to create a free GoDaddy Sites website. I love the clean, easy to navigate website I was able to create with GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder.
One feature that isn’t specific to designing a website, but I think is worth noting, is the integrated email marketing options. One of the sections you can add to your website is a newsletter sign-up box. With GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder, you can create your own email marketing campaign to your email subscribers. That means you don’t need a 3rd party newsletter service to send out updates. Just like the Website Builder, the Email Composer offers lots of templates and make it easy to create a professional looking newsletter. There are also tons of 3rd party features and add-ons you can use – from automatically sending out daily updates to syncing with your Etsy store.
Serious bloggers and businesses will also want to take advantage of GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder’s SEO option. With the click of the button, GoDaddy walks you through several easy-to-follow steps to ensure your website is optimized for search engines.
From start to finish, it took me less than 30 minutes to design and publish a new website. And that’s with me poking around each of the sections and playing around with fonts and colors for several minutes. If you know what you’re looking for in a website design, you could probably publish a website in under 5 minutes (not kidding) and end up with a clean, SEO-optimized, professional website. The level of detail GoDaddy allowed you to customize using the GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder is impressive. I especially like that you can put your own branding and flare on the website. If need an easy way to create a website in minutes, definitely take advantage of the GoDaddy GoCentral Website Builder Free Trial. Sign-up today to give it a try for 30 days free.
A promotional item was provided to me for today’s discussion. The host for this event is Still Blonde after all these Years.
The Free Trial is an opportunity for you to use a GoDaddy product free of charge for one (1) month, beginning on the date that you accept the Free Trial offer. The Free Trial will expire one (1) month from the date you accept the Free Trial offer, regardless of whether or not you use the product during the Free Trial period. Free trial not available in all markets.
I wish I had the confidence to do this by myself. I have the domain name.
With their free trial, now is the time to give it a shot! Their interface is very user friendly and easy to use. 🙂
I see that the advantages are plentiful!
I never had the guts to build a website by myself, and hired it out. In retrospect, I imagine I could’ve done it if I had known about this.
Yes – it definitely has lots of advantages, beyond just a nice looking site. (Like the integrated email marketing.) It just launched this year. 🙂
Great information on how to create a website! My wife has created many websites in the past for other
people. This is a great way for other people to do their own site without hiring someone.
Exactly. Professional web designers definitely provide value to their clients, but sometimes hiring a real/good web designer can’t fit into their budget. GoDaddy GoCentral makes it affordable at $6/month.
Thanks so much for sharing this! I get asked ALL of the time how to start a blog/website. I purchase all of my URL’s from godaddy and always tell people to start there but had no idea they also help with creating websites in minutes! Thanks!
I wasn’t aware they had this Website Builder either! It’s definitely an easy way to get a low-maintenance blog or website up and running. GoDaddy has definitely grown beyond domain names and hosting.
That looks pretty user-friendly! So many people WANT a website but have no idea where to start! This is great for the less than techie out there. It is also great that they have both desktop and mobile versions ready to go with each theme!
It is! Non-techies might not even think about a “mobile version,” so the options, as well as the live preview, are a great add.
I never thought about using GoDaddy as to be honest, I am stuck on WordPress and loving it. I see GoDaddy has its advantages and maybe one day I would consider going over to them. Loving all the different sort of designs they have to offer.
I hadn’t considered using GoDaddy either. WordPress is definitely great and packed with features. For people who aren’t as comfortable with technical stuff though, WordPress can be overwhelming. IMO, GoDaddy GoCentral is ideal for people who want an easy, low-maintenance website fast.
What a great post. It made me smile because when I first started my blog I signed up and used GoDaddy for a while. I can still remember the night I bought my domain name and had the tech support person walk me through installing Word Press. They offer great products at fair prices.
How easy GoDaddy to use? I have a different web host now but I’m thinking of shifting to GoDaddy. I heard a lot of good reviews about it.
I’ve found GoDaddy pretty easy to use. The Website Builder was surprisingly easy!
I have had my hosting with Go Daddy for years and love them. Their customer service is awesome and I have always been really happy.
I’ve made several sites over the years, but haven’t tried GoDaddy’s website builder yet. I always get my domain names from GoDaddy, so it just makes sense to use them for my hosting and to build my site. Thanks for the info!
I know GoDaddy is one of the more well known companies for making website, but I just don’t like it on the backend. I have to use it for work, but my personal website choices are not from them. I’ve found another company that I like better.
I use GoDaddy for hosting and I’m pretty pleased with their support team, although I was a bit disappointed with their outages in January that drove me up a wall. I haven’t used their website builder because because I’m pretty happy with WordPress and all it’s perks, I ‘m sure it’s top notch.
This looks like an easy and fast way for a company to get online. It’s so important these days to get your name out there.
GoDaddy sounds like an easy way to create a website. I don’t have any experience using GoDaddy but it sounds great!
I told my husband about this. He has been wanting a little website for his sheep farm and I told him I think this is the way to go for him.
What a great idea! He can give a try and see how easy it is. 🙂
This is a great tutorial. I’ve seen the option on GoDaddy to build a site but never did it. I’m not crafty that way and thought it would be too hard lol.
I do like the options for marketing right off the site and not having to do a bunch of work beyond that. I am just curious as to what the price point once the free trial is over is.
The price ranges depending on your needs/which plan you get. The most basic plan is $5.99/month. The Business plan, which includes SSL and the SEO tools, is $9.99/month. Their Email Marketing Tool is included in the Business Plus plan at $14.99/month. And their e-commerce plan that includes all of that plus a built in shopping cart and payment processing is $29.99/month.
It’s pretty cool that GoDaddy is offering a service that lets you build a website. I think it’s going to help a lot of bloggers out especially the ones new to the industry and are not familiar with codes and all that.
I’ve heard and read a lot about this GoCentral from GoDaddy. I haven’t had time to look at it but I am sure this is going to be great. I get my domain from GoDaddy and I am a very satisfied customer.
This looks like such a simple way to create a website!! Very helpful tips too – thanks 🙂
This is great information!!! This seems easy to create.
I have used this website building service before. It is really easy to design a great-looking site without any code knowledge. This is a great overview of the tool.
This is so smart. I could have used this when I was starting out. This is why I’m a fan of Go Daddy.
Sounds pretty useful. I bought my domains from GoDaddy but never tried to make my own site.
