I think most of us have memories of a favorite teacher (or for the lucky ones, favorite teachers) – the people who encouraged, motivated, and supported us while teaching us history, algorithms, or the periodic table. This month, Dollar General and Procter & Gamble are teaming up to honor the schools and teachers as Every Day Heroes. Whether it’s a local school, or a certain teacher, or a parent who home schools, these educators are not only teaching “knowledge”, but also morals and life lessons.
Kimberly Shearer, “Kentucky Teacher of the Year’, wife, and mother, is Dollar General’s September Every Day Hero. An English teacher and Library Science teacher at Boone County High School, Kimberly Shearer uses technology to help educate her students and to advocate for 21st century literary skills.
As the kids head back to school this year, you can save on school supplies and other products at your local Dollar General. Keep an eye out for P&G brandSAVER coupons in tomorrow’s newspaper that you can use to get quality P&G products at even lower prices when you use them at Dollar General.
